Meanwhile, the white coat of the white German shepherd is dense, maybe short or long, contains double layers, and is designed naturally to adapt to severe weather conditions like rainfall. The coat layers include the outer and the inner ones. The inner layer is soft, comfortable, and insulated while, the outer layer is harsh and conservative to protect and safeguard.

As, both of the variants possess large, strong, and muscular bodieswith dark brown eyes and are famous due to their robust figures which show strength. Their lifespan ranges from 12 to 14 years. The male counterparts are longer and heavier than the female counterparts. The male dogs weigh between 70 to 90 pounds while the females weigh about 50 to 70 pounds. In the case of height, males are 24 to 26 inches tall while females are typically 22 to 24 inches tall.

Their diet should contain more meat portion and their dietary needs depend on their age, size, and activity level. Moreover, their basic caloric requirement is 1500 Kcal per day. The puppies need more meals than adults as they are in their growth and development phase and they need 3 meals daily while the adults require 1 or 2 meals per day.

The white German shepherds are prone to health conditions like their peers. They can be prone to joint pain, immobility, or hip dysplasia. They are also susceptible to degenerative myelopathy which is a genetic disorder affecting the spinal cord. To manage these conditions, their calcium and vitamin D levels should be maintained and should be provided proper veterinary checkups along with a balanced diet and regular physical activity.

They also need regular grooming and brushing of their furry coat which can be a home to many pests and can lead to skin infections and allergies. They also need protection from extreme weather like severe sun exposure or extreme rainfall.
